There are a few important skills that the interviewer will look for, in you:

2. Confidence in your knowledge
4. Good communication skills
5. Good work ethics

Here are some tiny but significant details that you need to keep in mind right from the beginning and throughout your interview:
❒ Ask permission to come in.
❒ Shake hands with the panel (if they are in your reach), introducing yourself
❒ Ask permission to sit down.
❒ Offer them a copy of your bio-data each and your certificates, if any
❒ Carry a pen, some blank paper
❒ Sit straight comfortably without craning your neck. Do not slouch.
❒ Keep your arms either on your sides or in your lap. Do not fold your arms, as it is a sign of rudeness.
❒ Look attentive, keen and interested.
❒ Do not touch your face, or shake your legs.
❒ Talk clearly, maintaining a pitch that is comfortably audible to the person(s) around.
❒ Do not get overexcited even while describing your achievements and strengths.
❒ Nod your head to show that you are listening, interjecting appropriately with ‘Yes Sir/Madam’, absolutely, definitely etc.
❒ Listen to the queries attentively, constantly maintaining polite eye contact with the interviewers.
❒ Lean forward a little as you speak and backward as you listen.
❒ Use short simple sentences while talking.
❒ Never get too arrogant or aggressive in front
❒ Do not make unrealistic tall claims during
❒ Do not show your disappointment and disinterest.
❒ Poise till the end.
❒ Always thank the interviewers as you leave.
❒ Do not give long introductions. Come straight to the point.
❒ You should be logically consistent and analyse the answer rationally. You are supposed to defend what you say, but with due respect to the board. Stop trying to defend if it becomes difficult to do so logically and fairly.
❒ Do not make hasty or sweeping generalisations.
❒ Avoid the expression, 'I am sorry.'
❒ Avoid conversational cliches, like: 'as you know', 'that's correct', 'of course', 'indeed', 'obviously', etc.
❒ Avoid technical jargon. However, if a member continues to probe you in any technical field, you can use technical expressions.
❒ Maintain a cheerful face. You can appear serious, now and then, but most of the time keep smiling and remain composed.
❒ If the board laughs, you should only smile. It may give positive reflection on the depth of your personality.
❒ Show human concern whenever possible in your answers.
